# Lab Zero

> Lab Zero is an independent lab that makes small speech models that run on the user's own device. Its first model is Zero Talk 11M, an English text-to-speech model with about 11M parameters that runs in the browser.

Zero Talk 11M v1 (ID labzero-ai/zero-talk-11m, version 1): English, one voice, 24 kHz mono, about 9 MB to load, WebGPU where available and WebAssembly otherwise. Nothing typed leaves the device. Apache-2.0. Builds on Kokoro-82M (Apache-2.0).
